A modern day brew pub with the heritage & charm of days gone by, set in Ottawa’s LeBreton Flats. Mill St. Brew Pub Ottawa is planned to open in fall of 2011 in an old grist mill along the Ottawa River that has existed since the 1840s. It creates a wonderful setting for our restaurant and bar, seating almost 400, and including a 120 person patio overlooking the river. The location itself evokes a brewing tradition as brewery and distillery operations have flourished in the vicinity of the Flats and Chaudieres Island over centuries.

At Mill Street Brewery, our aim is to produce a variety of beers to suit every taste, including small batches of seasonal brew. In 2006 Joel Manning, former President of the Canadian Brewing Association joined the Mill Street crew as head brewer bringing even more credibility and creativity to our brews. Mill Street was named Canadian Brewery of the year in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

The brew pub will offer exceptional pub style food, with many of the menu items using the Mill Street beers brewed on site. The brewery will be producing 40 kegs a week, as well as offering tours and samplings. Several of the beers produced will only be available at the brew pub.
